Hi. My name is Rev Grant Helbley. I earned a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2015. After working in community mental health for a couple years, I completed a year long residency at Legacy Emanuel to become a clinical chaplain. Being a chaplain is not about being religious. It's about being present with grief, loss, death, and all the other human experiences that cause us to ask "Why?" I don't even pretend to have the answers to those questions. What I do have is a capacity to sit with them.
